Summer School
Tuesday, August 6th to Friday, August 23
for students going into
grades SK, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
HeadStart Students will . . .

get an educational advantage over other students;

receive a private school education without a full year's
tuition;

gain a huge benefit from an academic head start to the coming
new school year;

learn more at HeadStart than at camps or daycare for the
summer months;

welcome the structure which will eliminate getting bored and
just not knowing what to do with themselves;

learn in a teacher directed small class
learning environment;

keep their academic skills strong rather than
their skills getting rusty over the summer;

never again need the month of September to get back
into the routines of learning in a new school year;

regain an advantage to compete with those children who's birthdays
are earlier in the year and
who are older than those children who have birthdays late in the year;

be given help, making that difficult jump into grade 4, or
into grade 7 easy and effortless;

be given help, making that move from grade 8 to grade 9 much easier;

be better prepared to face the challenges of
earning credits at the high school
Academic or Applied levels;

receive needed extra help with Reading, Writing,
Spelling, Phonics, and/or Arithmetic and Mathematics;

Summer School
is located at Scholars' Hall,
888 Trillium Drive, Kitchener

HeadStart Summer School tuition is $750.
Classes are limited to a maximum of 12 students.
Early registration is recommended.
*NB - Our sister school, Scholars' Hall provides full day, full month or full
summer private schooling.

Tuition is non-refundable as of registration.
Attendance for less than the three weeks will not result in any reduction of
tuition. All students must adhere to the St. Jude's School Code of Behaviour and
Teachability. Non adherence to the Code will result in removal from HeadStart
School
with no refund of tuition.
Our instructional day is 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. After school
supervision is available till 5:30 each day at an additional fee of $25/week. Students will receive
Ontario curriculum instruction appropriate to individual academic performance
levels and will be grouped accordingly. Homework will be given daily. Tests will be given weekly. Report
cards will be issued on Friday, August 24.
Students on a IEP in the public system will
be grouped in a much smaller (max. of 6) class and receive instruction
appropriate to identified levels of remediation required. Tuition for the three
weeks is $1,500 |
